Acer palmatum ‘Inaba-Shidare’

Acer palmatum ‘Inaba-Shidare’ is a beautiful small to medium weeping Acer with spreading branches that cascade in a gorgeous waterfall of fine, filigree foliage. The deeply incised leaves emerge purplish-red in spring turning brilliant crimson in autumn before falling. The lacy leaves of this exceptional variety perform best in a sheltered position in partial shade.Acers are slow growing and make ideal specimens for small gardens and containers where they provide multiple seasons of interest. Their refined palmate foliage and graceful form add beautiful texture and structure to gardens, remaining captivating even in winter as the elegant tracery of bare branches emerges. They are perfect for creating a tranquil Japanese garden vibe in even the smallest urban spaces. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Ultimate height: 2.5m (8.2ft).
