Clematis macropetala ‘Markham’s Pink’

An exquisitely dainty clematis, ‘Markham’s Pink’ has nodding, bell-shaped, double flowers in rose-pink with a burst of cream stamens in the centre. The airy flowers float on long stalks above finely cut foliage which perfectly complements the blooms. After flowering, silky seed heads that catch the sunlight provide continued interest for the rest of the summer. One of the most popular early Clematis, ‘Markham’s Pink’ flowers from April to May, providing a delightful fanfare to the start of the season with its abundant cascade of pink blooms. This clematis is easy to care for as it requires no regular pruning. RHS Award of Garden Merit. Pruning group 1. Ultimate height: 3m (9.8ft). Ultimate spread: 1.5m (4.9ft).
