Dietes grandiflora – Seeds
This evergreen perennial bears sword-shaped leaves and a profusion of iris-type flowers in flushes throughout summer. The delicate white flowers have golden yellow splashes and violet-blue centres. Dietes grandiflora is a long flowering perennial that makes an excellent addition to a herbaceous or mixed border where it will bulk up into large clumps, the upright leaves providing evergreen interest all year and contrasting with the softer forms of other herbaceous plants. This half-hardy perennial is well suited to mild, coastal areas and will tolerate poor, dry soil. Height 1.5m (60”). Spread: 50cm (20”).
