Holly meserveae ‘Blue Angel’

The bright evergreen foliage and red berries of this female Holly, are a stand out feature during the winter months, but are not the star of the show for this variety. Holly ‘Blue Angel’ has a special feature where it protects its leaves from frost and ice by producing a special blue layer which turns it’s foliage blue during the coldest days! Like your own natural thermometer you can watch in amazment as your Holly bush turns a deliate frosty blue in the depths of winter! As a small variety of Ilex, it makes up for its small size with it’s abundance of red berries and only gets better with age.
