Hydrangea aspera ‘Hot Chocolate’
Hydrangea Aspera ‘Hot Chocolate’ has an attractive habit and is an excellent border filler. Even in poor soils, this rigorous, resilient shrub will blossom all summer long with little care. This huge, deciduous shrub is a unique lace cap hydrangea with gorgeous pink and blue blooms up to 30cm (12). Summer flowers with violet-blue hearts and gentle pink outer florets stand out against the rich chocolate foliage. In autumn, the extraordinary leaves provide a second delight as they fade to dark green before changing to amber and golden hues. Height and spread: 3m (10′).
