Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Bodensee’

Mophead Hydrangeas are always showy, and this one is no exception! When grown on acid soils, large heads of breathtaking blue flowers are borne from July to September. Where soils are more alkaline, the blooms take on mauve and pink tones. Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Bodensee’ forms a compact, rounded deciduous shrub with large, serrated green leaves that cloak the well-branched stems. Hardy and resilient, it makes a fine choice for cottage garden borders and patio containers. The blooms make fabulous cut flowers that can also be dried for a longer lasting display.
