Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Burgundy’
The best oak-leaved hydrangea for exceptional autumn foliage colour! Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Burgundy’ is a spreading deciduous shrub that produces large conical panicles of white flowers from midsummer to autumn. The attractive oak-like foliage takes on red-purple tones in the autumn. Oak-leaved hydrangeas require very little maintenance or pruning and love a sunny or semi-shaded spot. These resilient plants make a great choice for woodland gardens or mixed borders and are more tolerant of drought than mophead varieties once established. Height: 2m (6.5ft). Spread: 2.5m (8ft).
