Iris laevigata (Marginal Aquatic)

Iris laevigata is an elegant aquatic perennial thriving in shallow water or consistently moist soil, making it an excellent choice for pond margins or bog gardens. From late spring to early summer, it bears blue-purple flowers composed of three prominent falls with white flashes at the base that surround upright standards. The flowers are accompanied by sword-shaped leaves that provide a lush green backdrop, adding texture and structure to garden settings even when not in bloom. Water depth: 0-5 cm. Ultimate height: 50cm to 75cm (20 to 30in). Spread: 30cm (12in).
