Nepenthes alata Mix Hanging Basket
Nepenthes alata is a unique looking houseplant which originates from tropical rainforests and makes a showy display in a hanging planter, where its pitchers hang down from tendrils growing from the leaf tips. Commonly known as ‘monkey cups’, it was thought that monkeys would drink water from their pitchers in the rainforest! The interesting pitchers of this Nepenthes sanguinea hybrid are pink in colour and full of digestive juices. The sweet-smelling nectar of Nepenthes sanguinea hybrid attracts insects to the edge of the pitcher, where they slip down into its digestive juices. Ideal for a sunny windowsill, kitchen or bathroom. Height: 40cm (16?). Spread: 30cm (12?). Please note: Some houseplants are toxic or harmful to pets if ingested. If you believe your pet has consumed a poisonous plant then seek veterinary attention immediately. Take a sample of the plant with you.
