Peach ‘Honey Red’
This dwarf peach makes an attractive ornamental tree as well as delivering crops of delicious fruits. Peach ‘Honey Red’ boasts distinctive red foliage and in March/April, it is showered in pink blossom which is a magnet for pollinating insects. It makes a neat specimen for a large container on a balcony or terrace and its petite size also suits small garden borders. Self-fertile, it doesn’t require a pollination partner. This slow-growing tree needs only minimal pruning – simply pinch out the new shoot tips in spring to keep the tree small and bushy. Sweet and aromatic, orangey-red fruits are ready for harvesting in August/September. Height: 1.5m (4.9ft). Spread: 75cm (2.4ft).
