This dwarf black pine makes a stylish architectural statement, perfect for accenting a doorway or window. Grown as a ‘standard’ tree it has a slender clear stem with reddish-brown bark topped with a dense, spherical head of long, dark green needles. Tolerant of pollution and coastal conditions, this tough little tree can be enjoyed without demanding much attention. Slow growing and naturally forming a dense crown, pruning isn’t necessary unless you feel the need to tidy up its spikey haircut! It is also relatively drought tolerant, so it won’t require masses of watering.
