Potentilla neumanniana
This attractive, Creeping cinquefoil is a wonderful alpine shrub that is popular for making charming ground cover. Its low growing form and creeping habit make it wonderfully ideal for planting in crevices, troughs, border edges and rock gardens. From April until June, you will witness a delicate spray of tiny lemon-coloured flowers ? they rise upon short sturdy stems and sit amongst aromatic, scallop edged, green leaflets. Your Potentilla will grow in height to 20cm and spread to around 30cm, it requires virtually no care and its nectar will provide a valuable food source to those pollinating insects.
