The fruits are adorned with striking orange and yellow stripes, measuring approximately 20 cm in diameter and weighing between 1.5–3 kg. Beyond its ornamental appeal, the sweet, nutty flavour makes it an excellent alternative to butternut squash in soups, roasts, and casseroles.
