The spectacular Chusan Palm is unmistakable – with its upright, shaggy trunk crowned with fans of large palmate leaves held on long stems. During summer, male clones produce masses of dense panicles of sulphur yellow flowers. Female flowers are a little less showy but are followed by attractive, blue-black, kidney shaped fruits.Trachycarpus fortune is an exceptionally hardy palm that is perfect for UK climates, tolerating cool wet summers, cold winters and varying conditions from partial shade to full sun.
