Crocus olivieri subsp. balansae ‘Orange Monarch’

Jumbo Crocus (C. vernus) – Larger than the botanical crocuses, "Jumbos" make a splash of early spring colour. Plant in your lawn, between shrubs, in borders, or in patio containers. They bloom a few weeks after the botanical crocuses – mixing both will create a long-flowering carpet of colour! Flowers February-March. Height 10cm. Orange Monarch – Large-flowered Dutch type, producing big, orange blooms feathered with a purple flame. Bulb size 5+cm. Crocuses are among the first heralds of spring. Their cups of vivid colours make such a welcome splash of colour that you’ll just want to keep planting more and more. A magnet for bees in early spring!
