Lavender angustifolia ‘Arctic Snow’
Lavender angustifolia ‘Arctic Snow’ is a neat, rounded variety of English Lavender with a compact growth habit. The upright flower spikes are borne in profusion in early summer, attracting plenty of attention from pollinating insects. Its gleaming white flowers stand out beautifully above the grey-green foliage, which releases its distinctive perfume every time you brush past it. A lovely choice for a sunny border, or for planting as a low aromatic hedge. Height and spread: 50cm (20). Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. There are many ways to use lavender flowers, both in sweet or savoury dishes. Make a delicious lavender sugar and add to biscuits, sorbets, jams or jellies. Add flowers to vegetable stock and create a tasty sauce for duck, chicken or lamb dishes. For more details about edible flowers click here.
