Osteospermum ‘Lady Leitrim’
The pearly colours of Osteospermum ‘Lady Leitrim’ subtly change as they age. When the buds are closed on dull days they expose blue-mauve undersides, opening in the sunshine to reveal white ray petals blushed with blue and purple at the tips and centre before later developing pinkish tones.Osteospermums are one of longest flowering of all garden plants. Keep them regularly deadheaded and they will reward you with an abundance of cheerful daisies from early summer until the first frosts. Drought tolerant once established, they’re also supremely versatile – suiting containers, borders, edging and rockeries. They look equally at home in a relaxed, cottage-garden scheme or a dry, coastal garden. The flowers are attractive to beneficial pollinators. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
