Vitex agnus-castus ‘Flip Side’
A compact and free-flowering selection, Vitex agnus-castus ‘Flip Side’ is unique in having aromatic olive-green leaves that are deep purple on their underside. From late summer to autumn, it bears showy panicles of deep purple flowers up to 20cm long. The fragrant flowers lure pollinators and are a particular favourite with butterflies. This drought tolerant shrub is rarely seen but makes an excellent choice for a sunny, sheltered border with freely draining soil injecting valuable late summer colour. Ultimate height and spread: 120cm (47in) to 150cm (60in).
