Vitis coignetiae

Better known as Crimson Glory Vine, Vitis coignetiae is a robust climbing plant that belongs to the same family as grape vines. This ornamental deciduous vine produces masses of deep green, lobed leaves with velvet-like undersides, which will swiftly cover fences and walls. In autumn, the foliage transforms to vivid shades of pink and red which are decorated with small, inedible black grapes. The perfect choice for growing alone where it will create a superb display from spring through to autumn. Height: 12m (39?). Spread: 4m (13?).
